On September 22nd 2019, friends and family gathered at the home of Lesley and Ian Jack to celebrate her mother Rita's life and to share memories of happy times and fun occasions when she was in our midst through the years. A slide show of photographs brought her vividly to life, and some candid shots and expressions on her face, brought chuckles of recognition from the audience. Although saying farewell to a dear friend and loved one is always heart-wrenching there is comfort in knowing that Rita will be remembered for her warmth and ever generous hospitality, her love of family and friends, and for her bright, cheeky humour that bubbled frequently to the surface.
